Contact your local derby league. Usually, they will have an open recruitment night. Most leagues will train anyone willing to learn. Our league requires all skaters to be 21 years old and you must make it to at least 50% of the practices to be eligible to skate in a bout. Most likely, you will need to pay dues and insurance. I have been lucky enough to ref an awesome group of athletes for the last year. These girls work DAMN HARD and play hard to. Seriously, if you are curious GO FOR IT!
