The Rolling Rebellion is DFW’s premier junior roller derby team, offering a high-velocity, inclusive environment for athletes ages 7–17. We don't just teach skating; we build a community rooted in perseverance, ethics, and teamwork.

Whether your child is stepping onto quad skates for the first time or is ready for high-level competition, our tiered training program ensures they are always challenged and supported. With quarterly assessments to track progress, our skaters move from learning the basics to mastering full-contact competitive play. At the Rolling Rebellion, we turn beginners into top-flight athletes who carry their strength far off the track.

Level 1 (New Skaters)

No experience? No problem. We focus on the fundamentals of balance, falling safely, and basic stride. Low practice requirements + some league involvement.

Level 2 (Derby Basics)

Skaters master foundational derby movements and agility in a non-contact environment. Low practice requirements + some league involvement.

Level 3 (Competitive Play)

Athletes are fully assessed for full-contact play and become eligible to try out for our seasonal Travel Team (which has extra practice requirements and more league involvement).

Elevated Training for Elite Athletes

To push our veteran skaters even further, those 14+ and on the Travel Team gain exclusive access to practice and scrimmage with the Dallas Derby Devils, including the opportunity to be drafted to our inner league home teams and play during the season. This partnership provides a massive boost in practice intensity and prepares our athletes for the highest levels of the sport.

A Pathway to Excellence

We believe every athlete deserves a training pace that matches their skill. Our program is divided into three distinct tiers with quarterly assessments to help skaters "level up":

We encourage you to come to any of our practices and see for yourself. Formal practices are every Monday night from 6:00 - 8:00 at Forum Roller World in Grand Prarie, and every Wednesday night from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Galaxy Skate in Grapevine.
